Bear The Absurd are a musical group presently comprised of Tarmo Tristan Teng and Davis Cremar.  Their music is a mixture of electronic, trance, down-tempo, electro-acoustic and ambient soundscapes.  Their meticulous production values and carefully restrained musical flourishes allow them to strike a fragile balance between the cold electronics and analogue sounds that are the foundations of their songs.  You can experience some of their works at www.myspace.com/beartheabsurd

Tarmo Tristan Teng has maintained life-long interests in visual arts, music, mathematics and science. As a child, he studied classical piano and experimented with chemistry, electronics, model rocketry and all manner of arts and crafts. He graduated from the University of Toronto with a degree in Biology and Mathematics and later obtained a bachelors degree in fine arts from the Ontario College of Art and Design.   His artwork can be seen at www.tarmotristanteng.com

Davis holds a BA (English Major & Music Minor) from the University of Toronto.  He also holds an LLB from Osgoode Hall and is licensed to practice law in Ontario and New York State.  Prior to working with Tarmo, Davis composed title themes and incidental music for over 230 episodes of award-winning and nominated documentary and children’s programs.  Davis is also a photographer and his works can be seen at www.daviscremar.com

They are based in Toronto, Canada.
